Play it Again, My 2013 Favorite Posts

Is it really 2014 already?  I don't know about you, but I'm still trying to remember where I left off a few weeks ago while slowly working my way back into a normal routine.  Where does the time go?  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday celebration and you're ready for the new year ahead.

I hunted down, repurposed, created, and sold a lot of junk treasures in 2013 and wanted to share some of my favorites once again (in no particular order).  You can click on the link below each picture for the full blog post.

From Blah to Blooming
An old military carrying case gets beautified.

A shelf from a baker's rack becomes a picture/jewelry holder with the help of some jute webbing and twine.

I had no idea what I was going to do with these old Karkex filing drawers when I found them.  Nine drawers became picture holders, six drawers became chalkboards.

I found an ugly orange-ish dresser at the Habitat store, painted it, then moved it into my office/work room.  I'm loving the long top and all the awesome storage that's so perfect for storing more stuff.

A salvaged cabinet door decorated with bits and pieces of junk is a fun place to hang....
more junk.

A rusty grill from a 1961 Pontiac makes a unique picture holder.

Treasures for the Faire
A vintage wooden car seat becomes an instant shelf.

This large rusty window screen was the perfect canvas for a stenciled sign.  I really have seller's remorse about this one.

I was a vendor at several antique shows.....
One of my favorite shows to do in April and September.

It was so nice to be able to set up on the grass, in the shade, and right in my own town.

There were several "firsts" that happened in 2013.
On the cover of Jewelry Affaire Magazine, Autumn 2013 issue.
My first time being published!!  I just found out another pair of my earrings were published
 in the Winter issue.  Another first in 2013 (no blog post) was when I brought in a table full
 of jewelry for a studio interview with Good Day Sacramento.  I almost didn't do it, but decided to push myself out of my comfort zone and just go for it, nerves and all:-)

I co-hosted my first link party with Angie from Knick of Time and Bliss from Bliss Ranch.

My first time in a permanent store location.  I joined the team at Paris Flea Market in May.

My friend here had a little too much punch, but she still had a great time at the 2nd annual Dress Form Ball hosted by Carol at The Polka Dot Closet.

You know I love sharing all the stuff I find while out treasure hunting.
Some of the stuff I bought on a road trip to Oregon.

I found all this silverware at an antique show.  Perfect for garden markers, picture holders, and jewelry.

Arriving early to a yard sale can be a good thing!

Bits and pieces of old hardware.

Repurposed silverware handles.

I made up a new batch of wooden spool and sheet music necklaces, then repurposed a lamp to display them on.

Wishing all of my blogging friends a very happy, safe, and healthy new year!!
~~~ HAPPY 2014 ~~~
  25. You are so inspiring! I've just spent many hours perusing your blog and decided you're the person i want to be :-) You get the coolest stuff from sales and have great vision to make it into even cooler stuff. And you make money doing it! I live a bit north from you (Redding) but hope to make it to one of the fairs sometime to see your stuff in person, say hi, and maybe pick your brain. Good job and kudos to you!
