A Tour of Mes Amis Vintage Antique Show

We had such a fun time last weekend at the Mes Amis Vintage Antique Show.  It was a hot and humid day, so I think we were all happy that the show had moved to its new indoor location. It was really nice to come in early on Friday to set up and still have time to unwind before the show opened in the early evening.  It was even better to come back on Saturday morning with everything all set up and ready to go.  I sold a lot of things that I just found or made a few weeks before, and I sold a lot of things that I'd been hauling around for far too long.  Is there a legal limit to how long some junk can linger?

This post is picture heavy, so I'll keep the narration to a minimum.  The first six pictures are from my booth.

I took a lot of pictures before the show officially opened on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.  There was so much to see and I tried to remember where I was when I took each picture, but that just didn't happen.  Let's take a walk around.....
My neighbor on one side, Ironface Creations by Steven Luck

My neighbors on the other side, Lisa and Jen.

I've been admiring Darrielle's beautiful furniture makeovers for quite a while, so it was really fun to see everything up close and personal.  Darrielle and her friend Heather did such a good job displaying all their treasures.

And....it was fun meeting Darrielle too!

I love the orchard ladders!

I couldn't resist those bulging eyes.

Debbie Neverkovec.  I love her signs and chalkboards!!

Looking forward to the next Mes Amis Vintage Antique Show in April.  I'll be taking a break from a few of my regular large shows this fall to give my aching back a much need rest and to play catch up with things that have been on the back burner for too long.  It's all good; I'm still keeping my smaller shows in the schedule.

Happy weekend everyone!

  14. Love your booth!! It looks like an awesome show. I had just told my husband today that I'm thinking about giving up my big 3 day shows and just keeping the small one day shows.

  17. So many sweet things....where would I start? Ha! I just adore what you did with the little pumpkins in your booth. I have a huge chicken feeder that I would love to stuff with those and put it on my dining table....and that is just what I am going to do.

Thanks for sharing all the goodies.

  18. Oh.My.Gosh. So much eye candy all in one place!! It looks like so much fun.
I can imagine it is pretty hard on the back to do all the loading and unloading for these big shows and happy you are giving it a chance to rest up. Take good care and hope you are feeling better soon!

  22. Hi Betsy! It's been a while since I went on blog hopping. I miss reading posts from your blog. One of the things I'm very deprived of is vintage trade shows and exhibits. I will never lose my dream that maybe one day, I will be able to see your own show. :) And yes, a TV or magazine feature for you is one of my dreams too. :) Have a great week Betsy!

  26. Your booth looked so gorgeous! My rule of thumb for keeping "long in the tooth" items is simple, if I like it I figure someone somewhere will also like it!!! Thanks for the tour ~ I'll be back for a closer, longer inspection;)
