Vintage Inspiration Link Party

Ready to rumble, ready to go thrifting, ready to be swooned?   OK then, welcome to this week's edition of the Vintage Inspiration Party.  This is the place to share anything old, treasured, passed-down or tattered, but you can also share projects that were made to look old, including repurposed and upcycled creations.

   Vintage Inspiration Party
At the Vintage Inspiration Party your links will show up on 4 different blogs!
vin-tage (adj.) 1.) used to describe something that is not new but that is valued because of its good condition, attractive design, etc. 2.) used to describe something that has the best qualities or characteristics of the things made or done by a particular person, organization, etc.

Before we get to the features from last week's VIP, I wanted to let everyone know that I've teamed up with some of the most creative and talented junkers out there to invite you a Salvage STYLE Party. Nine of us have created our own salvage style junk projects to share for this event, and we're hoping you can join us starting Sunday, October 5th 6:00PST to link up some of your best past and present salvaged junk.  More details to follow, so start thinking about what you'd like to bring to the party.

We all love hosting the Vintage Inspiration Party. It's such a good reminder of what a little creativity can do, and we love seeing all these new uses for otherwise discarded items.  The features this week were chosen by Marianne from Songbird. Let's see what she has to say about these awesome features that caught her eye.....

Embroidery Map
My thread loving heart missed a beat over this project. What a cool idea to make a memento of a special road trip by embroidering the route on a map. Thank you Sadie Seasongoods for sharing this idea.

   Herringbone Wall Unit Makeover
From blah to beautiful. I love the update this little wall unit got with the herringbone pattern on top. Great work from Deb at Seeking Lavender Lane.

  Christmas tree from tray
Oh, I know it's still Fall, but this little Christmas project was too cute not to share, and the pine cones are Fall! You'll never guess what Carlene from Organized Clutter used to make this lovely bit of wall decor.

  Simple Farmhouse Fall Decor
If you know me at all you know I love me some easy, simple and beautiful decorating, and this example of Farmhouse Fall Decor ticks all the boxes for me. See more detail at Happy at Home.

   Camper hutch
This piece of furniture is part of of bigger project that is so jealousy inducing I am seeing green. This little vintage hutch is made up from a couple of different treasures.  Treasures this particular gal had lingering in her garage. Some garage that must be!  Hop on over and check out where this beauty of a vintage hutch is living now on Vintage Lifestylings

  Chalkboard-Map-Pumpkins-Autumn-2014-Mantel-An-Oregon-Cottage
This lovely Fall mantel can be found at An Oregon Cottage. Check out Jami's complete Fall Home Tour. You won't be sorry.

  31island-on-deck
This project took a lot of vision, and by the looks of it, a lot of hands to build. But what a great outcome! Loving this pallet wood deck island very much. Great job from Val and her family over at Love my DIY Home
