Happy New Year Giveaway

It's hard to believe that we're closing in on the end of another year already.  With 2015 only a few short days away, I thought this would be a perfect time for a giveaway to help start the new year off right.  I don't know about you, but one of the first things I do to keep myself organized for a new year is to transfer all my important dates to a REAL calendar.

When Kirsty Elson announced that she was putting together a 2015 calendar featuring her sweet houses and villages, I immediately knew I had to have one.  Kirsty is a multi talented artist who creates these amazing little driftwood houses, villages, and lighthouses from objects she finds along the beach near her home in Cornwall.  I'm in love with every one of her creations and maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to own one someday.

Front cover.  I love the lighthouse and the little boats.

Set of five note cards.  Aren't those bicycles made from rusty washers and nails adorable?

It's impossible to choose a favorite month because I love them all, but I wanted to show you a little preview of what's inside.
September
Look at those trees!  Aren't they the cutest walnut and almond trees you've ever seen?  Did you notice the porch light?  It looks like a bent nail with a bead for the bulb.

July
I love the seagulls on the roof, the nail chimneys, the fence, and the little boats.

I've been stalking following her Facebook page for months and always look forward to seeing pictures of her latest creations.  You can see more of these sweet driftwood houses in the gallery on her website Kirsty Elson Designs.

A few months ago I ordered some of Kirsty's note cards and several of her 2015 calendars.  I'm keeping one of the calendars for myself, I gave a few to friends and family for Christmas, and I saved the last one for one of my blog readers.  Even if you already have a 2015 calendar, trust me, you still need this one!!  These are special enough to frame and I know that's what I'll be doing at the end of next year.  (I was not compensated in any way for this post, I just love what I love!!)

To enter the giveaway:
1.  Leave one comment on this post.
2.  I need to be able to reach you.  If you're a noreply blogger or only available through Google +, please make sure to include your email in the comment.
3.  Giveaway is open to all my blog friends worldwide.
4.  Entries for the giveaway will close at 6pm PST on New Year's Eve, and I'll announce the winner the next day.

Check out what we've been working on.....
My Salvaged Treasures Knick of Time Songbird Beyond the Picket Fence

This is the place to share anything old, treasured, passed-down or tattered, but you can also share projects that were made to look old, including repurposed and upcycled creations.
vin-tage (adj.) 1.) used to describe something that is not new but that is valued because of its good condition, attractive design, etc. 2.) used to describe something that has the best qualities or characteristics of the things made or done by a particular person, organization, etc.

I hope you enjoy all these features chosen by Marianne from Songbird.

A repurpose of a repurpose. The bedsprings were made into a Christmas tree and then Cecilia from My Thrift Store Addiction refashioned it into this lovely ornament tree.

This Noel sign gives you a glimpse of a lovely Christmas home tour. Visit Old Things New to see this lovely house decorated for the holidays.

You know I just love doilies, so how could I resist featuring this lovely doily tree skirt JunkinJane made.

These shabby chic hangers for the kitchen are a wonderful DIY project by the talented Biljana from Croatia.

Prodigal Pieces takes us on a tour of her handmade junk style Christmas decorations. I had a hard time picking out my favorite to feature here, but these upcycled ice skates stole my heart.

Laurel from Chipping with Charm made this awesome crate kitchen light, then she decorated it for Christmas. Must see people, must see!

Diana from Adirondack Girl @ Heart shares her holiday home, and just look at this vintage door decor.  I love those vintage skis with the wreath. There is so much beauty inside too!

She had me at Vide Grenier. Let's go take a little tour in France shall we? Brocante Treasures takes us with her when she goes thrift shopping in a charming French village. Makes me long for summer and my own vintage treasure hunts.

Carlene from Organized Clutter did it again!  I love this Christmas ornament that started life as a very ordinary drawer pull. Great vision and perfect execution!

If you were featured this week, we'd love for you to spread the news.
