BINGO Anyone?

I always feel like a kid in a toy store when I get my own new toys to play with.  This Bingo stencil from Old Sign Stencils was calling my name, and I knew right away that I wanted needed to play with it.

Stenciled Bingo Boards
I didn't have a single board large enough for the entire stencil, so I played around with the design and was able to fit it on five individual boards.

upcycled pallet boards
I rummaged through my pallet pile and found several narrow boards left over from another project.  I didn't even bother filling the large holes before painting them with one coat of
A.S. Old Ochre Chalk Paint.

#oldsignstencils Bingo stencil supplies
I gathered my supplies: A very old and well-used stencil brush, black acrylic paint, blue painter's tape, paper towels for blotting off the excess paint, an index card for holding the paint, and this fun 14" x 14" Bingo Old Sign Stencil from Funky Junk Interiors.

I used a very dry brush to keep the paint from seeping under the stencil.  A couple of fingers and one piece of tape was enough to hold the stencil in place.

The Free Space was stenciled with the same paint I used for the background.

I left 4" of space at the bottom of the boards for some old chippy wooden knobs and a
rusty hook.

DIY upcylced pallet wood
The last step was to add a hook to each board.

Hang them together side by side.

Or spread them out and fill up that empty space on your wall.  (I have no empty space).
My sincere apologies if you have that song stuck in your head now!

How clever and creative to separate the boards! Love this - sharing and pinning and probably stealing. The song in my head is B-I-N-G-O and Bingo was his name-o!
